POCO today launched its newest smartphone for the Indian market, POCO M2 which is now India’s most affordable 6GB smartphone.
POCO is an independent brand born out of Xiaomi in India. POCO F1 was India’s No.1 smartphone in the ‘above INR 15,000 price segment’ in the online smartphone market for a long period of time making POCO a popular brand in India.

POCO M2 Specifications
Display
Providing consumers a high-quality viewing experience, POCO M2 features a 16.58cm (6.53) Full HD+ display, with a resolution of 2340×1080 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Also, the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection keeps the screen protected from accidental damage and scratches. The display is reading mode certified by TÜV Rheinland.
With a near edge-to-edge display on the front, POCO M2 features a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the device to allow for quick unlocking. Protecting the entire body of the device is P2i’s nano-coating (i.e. splash- and dust-resistant coating), which makes it resistant to accidental splashes.
Performance
POCO M2 comes with a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor with two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz, striking a balance between performance and efficiency. With MediaTek’s gaming features, the users will be able enjoy an optimized gaming experience.
With 6GB of RAM to go with the aforementioned components, POCO M2 makes for a well-rounded device that’s set to elevate the standards in the segment.

POCO M2 features a quad camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. With the 8MP ultra-wide camera with 118-degree field of view, users can expand their view significantly while the 5MP macro sensor will allow users to take some dramatic close-up shots. Users will also be able to take full HD footage on the macro camera for some truly fun videos.
Battery
With the ‘new normal’ everything has shifted to digital, and a long-lasting battery stands to be one of the key elements to go through your day seamlessly. POCO M2 comes packed with a 5,000mAh built-in battery-powered with support for 18W fast charging to ensure long hours of battery backup. But keep in mind, it comes with 10W charger out of box.

Pricing & Availability
POCO M2 will be available in two varients i.e. 6/64GB and 6/128GB storage variants for INR 10,999 and INR 12,499 respectively. Buyers will be able to avail an additional INR 750 instant discount when transacting through ICICI (credit cards or debit card EMIs) and Federal Bank (debit cards). POCO M2 will be available in Slate Blue, Pitch Black and Brick Red colour variants.
It will be available for purchase via Flipkart starting on 12 noon, 15 September 2020.
