Logitech picks up gaming hardware maker Astro for $85M

Logitech is increasing its area within the quickly rising gaming house with the acquisition of Astro Gaming, a firm known for its high-quality headsets for $85M .
The Company was purchased by headset manufacturer Skullcandy in April 2011, before that company’s stock price tanked.
Astro Gaming, is known for its highly-regarded A-series audio headsets and Mixamp console peripherals. The brand will fall underneath their Logitech G brand of gaming peripherals.
Logitech swooped in to purchase the company after previous owner, Mad Catz, fell on hard times. It ceased operation in March following a lengthy death spiral that followed the lower than expected sales of Rock Band 4, which it co-published with Harmonix.
